Beating Your Drum and Godsign™

Hello All
Happy Friday to you!

Yesterday was the winter solstice, the shortest day of the year. The days now begin to get longer again.

Long, long, LONG before there were celebrations of the birth of Joshua Ben Joseph to Mary and Joseph of Nazareth, humanity celebrated the rebirth of Life during this sacred time of year.

Cultures all over the world, would celebrate the sun setting and form human rings around the bonfires, beating their drums to the rhythms of Mother Earth to celebrate her rebirth at sunrise.

Your Creator will use the sounds of drums, the symbols of drums, the images of drums to ask you ‘what is your Song drumming about?”

Drums have been around since humans first used a stick to make a noise in our earliest forms of communication. In India they are considered symbols of creative power and in China drumbeats are the voice of Heaven. Shamans and Sacred Healers in all cultures have used drums to assist in getting into healing states and to travel to higher dimensions.

Shiva, the Indian deity, holds the Drum in his extended right hand to remind us that Creation (manifestation) begins with the first beat of the Drum and ends with the last beat. Shiva’s drum represents all material things which march to the beat of Time; they have a beginning, a finite Time-span, and an end. When we concentrate on Time (duality and matter) we shut out eternity (unity). However, when we focus our concentration on eternity, Time and matter become insignificant.

In our physical realm we use the beat of the Drum to dictate the tempo of music. It is also used to set the cadence for marching bands, oarsmen, and armies. It also represents the beating of the heart and pulse in all living creatures.

Can you even begin to imagine Rock and Roll without drums? Would it even be Rock and Roll?

There are times in history when too many beat drums of hatred, violence and war.

There are times in history when too many beat drums of judgment, division and bigotry.

There are times in history when too many beat drums of dominance, bullying, assault and abuse.

Those are not all times . . . just some times.

Because Eternal Love never stops beating the Sacred Drums of Eternal Love, times change into drum beats of Truth, Light and Love.

At this time we need more drums beating out the giving of Love.

At this time we need more drums beating out of the sharing of Grace.

At this time we need more drums beating out the living of Peace.

Will you pick up your Sacred Drum?

In this Holy Season . . . Follow your Beat, listen to your Rhythm, dance to your own Song and know that nothing pleases Creator more than the Gifts you bring into our world beating your Sacred Drum of Truth, Light and Love to everything and everyone created!

Come they told me,
pa rum pum pum pum
A new born King to see,
pa rum pum pum pum
Our finest gifts we bring,
pa rum pum pum pum
To lay before the King,
pa rum pum pum pum,
rum pum pum pum,
rum pum pum pum,

So to honor Him,
pa rum pum pum pum,
When we come.

Little Baby,
pa rum pum pum pum
I am a poor child too,
pa rum pum pum pum
I have no gift to bring,
pa rum pum pum pum
That’s fit to give the King,
pa rum pum pum pum,
rum pum pum pum, rum pum pum pum,

Shall I play for you,
pa rum pum pum pum,
On my drum?

Mary nodded,
pa rum pum pum pum
The ox and lamb kept time,
pa rum pum pum pum
I played my drum for Him,
pa rum pum pum pum
I played my best for Him,
pa rum pum pum pum,
rum pum pum pum, rum pum pum pum,

Then He smiled at me,
pa rum pum pum pum
Me and my drum.
