Today’s Godsign is about the numerous effects of oxymorons and the Godsign messages they bring into our current society. You don’t have to explore it long to see that many times it blatantly points to the ‘moron’ part of the word.
Definition of OXYMORON per Miriam Webster dictionary:
a combination of contradictory or incongruous words (such as cruel kindness); broadly: something (such as a concept) that is made up of contradictory or incongruous elements.
The Greeks were famous for classifying all elements of speech and writing and created the name oxymoron, literally meaning “pointed foolishness,” to the deliberate combining of seemingly contradictory words. The roots of oxymoron – oxys, meaning “sharp” or “keen,” and moros, meaning “foolish” – are nearly antonyms themselves, making oxymoron nicely self-descriptive. Sharp foolishness is itself an oxymoron.
We seem to have a lot of oxymoronic ideas, policies, words and rhetoric going around these days.
A current Godsign example wrapped around an oxymoron is Alternative Facts. This current oxymoron is brought to us by a person in the US government who has perfected the “con’s way” of confusing, confounding and creating chaotic word soup with any and all dialogue, coming up with what she says are alternative facts to the facts. The Godsign is presented to you in her last name – Conway.
We call a group of young men and women ‘Dreamers’ and then make their lives a ‘Nightmare’ to live through right now. A minority of WASP Americans believe that we have to get rid of these awful ‘illegal immigrants’ who did not ‘choose’ to come here, many have worked incredibly hard, have college degrees, are some of the leaders in our military services and pay taxes like all the rest of us. It is ‘true fiction’ and moronic to say that these young adults are ‘horrible dreamers’.
Another oxymoron to me is conceptual. There are tens of thousands of red baseball caps around the US with the words Make America Great Again, brought to us by an unwise ‘genius’ president. In 2016, when this saying became popular, a majority of Americans knew the US was already great, even though there was still a lot of work to do to keep it that way. Before the end of 2016 you could ask a majority of people all over the world and they would have agreed the US was already one of, if not the greatest country in the entire world.
That is no longer true. In less then 12 months, America is not perceived as great now – not like it was. There are already many surveys taken world wide that reflect those beliefs. Below is but one of those surveys.
According to a recent Pew Research Center survey spanning 37 nations, just 22% have confidence in America’s current president to do the right thing when it comes to international affairs. This stands in contrast to Obama’s presidency, when 64% of those nations expressed confidence to direct America’s role in the world. The sharp decline in how much other countries trust the current U.S. president on the world stage is especially pronounced among some of America’s closest allies in Europe and Asia, as well as Mexico and Canada. Across the 37 nations polled, Trump gets higher marks than Obama in only two countries: Russia and Israel.
In the closing years of the Obama presidency, 64% of those 37 nations had a positive view of the U.S. Today, just 49% are favorably inclined toward America. Again, some of the steepest declines in U.S. image are found among long-standing allies.
To say this is an oxymoronic time in American history is an understatement. A small big man who leads the Make America Great Again movement and gets elected as the US President has in actuality made America look not very great all around the world. All of us in the US, those that knew we were already great, and those who did not think so, are now going to have to work very hard to be great again. The us in US have a lot of work to do to repair the damage done.

Those questions have as many answers as there are people in America. One way to find the answer can be to look at what and who have made America great in her past.
The current US president, who world wide is perceived as making America ungreat again, has created an oxymoron that in my personal opinion is one of the most dangerous to our democracy – ‘fake news’. The freedom and honesty in the American free press, since Benjamin Franklin first started printing the news out to everyone, has been one of the reasons American has been seen by the world as a great and courageous Democracy and nation.
Now there is a minority of people in America, led by the Fake News president, who either don’t realize or don’t care of the disastrous effects of causing people to believe that most of the American news is made up of lies and disinformation.
Since America’s earliest beginnings, the American Free Press has led the way to finding the strengths and greatness in our country. The majority of the American Press, based on proven facts, reports the truths and realities in any and all sectors of our world. The free American Press reported on the atrocities and holocaust of Hitler, the lies and deceit of the Vietnam War, the hidden illegalities of Watergate and the immoral as well as illegal behavior in the home mortgage industry in the 1990’s. A minute sample of the truths brought to us all be the American Free Press!
If our American Press becomes known world wide as only bringing forward ‘fake news’ we will be seeing the end of this GREAT nation and its institutions. The America Press is the one institution that has and will continue to provide us with the truths in our society to help us make decisions about all our flaws as a country and all the problems that need to be fixed. If all news is considered ‘fake news’ unless it agrees with only your political viewpoint, as a country we may have lost our ability to be great!
I am not suggesting that we have all been taught the truth in all occasions by our American Press. That is not true.
There is a path of knowledge that takes anyone willing to have an honest look at American history (not necessarily what we were taught in school) that leads you to know and understand that there were millions upon millions of NATIVE Americans who lived on the American continent for hundreds if not thousands of years before the WASPs landed from Europe. Within a hundred years of the Europeans landing on this continent NATIVE Americans were destroyed and decimated through genocide by the mostly white European settlers. If taken to the World Court today – 98% of current legal Americans would be considered illegal immigrants who had no rights to the United States.
I understand that is not current thought or belief or even a possibility after all this time of becoming mainstream thought, but it is a more factual look at our country’s history than we were taught in school or in deed by the press.
America, as a young country, has not always been great. She goes through her phases, as does the moon, the seasons and each of us.
Here is an oxymoron about one such time in our history that was the worst and best of our history. The term ‘civil war’ is an oxymoron. To be civil to one another and to be at war with one another are polar opposites existing at once. It was the deadliest war the US has ever fought, with millions of lives lost. There was nothing civil about it. And yet the worst of times that led to the US’s greatest of times was our civil war.
A truly great American hero, and I would guess over 98% of all Americans today would agree, was President Abraham Lincoln.
He gave his entire life to America. His words of truth, respect and the embracing of freedom for all won him the respect of the large majority of humans in our world.
The French were so saddened by his death, they wanted to do something to help lift Up the GREAT young democratic country of America. So they had a very special statue built to give to us.
That statue has not become a symbol of France’s greatness but the iconic, world-recognized symbol of America’s GREATNESS.
It is America’s Lady Liberty. She eternally stands now holding her lamp at the Golden door to our country.
Listen to your heart right now. Watch for the Godsign around you in the names and stories. Remember the times before when America was great. Know that America is great and she will be seen that way again by the rest of the world . . . if we continue to follow the path that Lady Liberty walks!

May we all learn here in the US, that Americans come from ALL the places in the world and that diversity, that inclusiveness, that respect for one and all is what has made and will continue to make America GREAT.
