Snakes & Godsign™

Hello All
Happy Friday to you!

Happy Cinco de Mayo . . . 5-5 . . .

Multiple fives – sacred fives. . . 555 – represents Christ Consciousness.

May your consciousness be christed – anointed – enlightened

A couple of weeks ago Spirit suggested that the Godsign for that week be about the Buffaloes and the sacred Godsign messages they bring into our world. I was more than happy to give gratitude to our Buffaloes and the Gifts their symbology brings but I wasn’t completely sure why Buffaloes and Peace and White Buffalo Calf Woman was the topic Spirit requested. Now I do . . .

Someone in world power, a snake charmer, that evidently knows very little about snakes was using them to spread poison last weekend. He was referring to humans as ‘snakes’ in very hurtful, untruthful and snake charmer ways. He was the one spreading toxins, poison and pain – not any snakes.

You might be amazed at how often that has happened to innocent people and snakes. When snakes are Used by Source as Godsign to you, Creator wants to make sure you realize how Sacred, ancient and connected to the Divine that snakes actually are in human history. Even if you don’t like snakes, most of that is because you have been taught to hate snakes.

Spirit wants to help changes those fears using snakes and Godsign. You might be surprised at how much you begin to like the Sacred Energy they can bring to you.

I am first generation Irish and was raised with the belief that St. Patrick was one of Ireland’s most sacred heroes. St. Patrick did many wonderful things for the Irish, I am not here to argue that, but to explain Patrick’s relationship with the supposed ‘snakes’ he got rid of in Ireland.

St. Patrick didn’t not get rid of ‘snakes’ in Ireland, he got rid of the native peoples who worshiped Nature, Mother Earth and all her creatures that kept them fed and clothed. The Celts and native Druids honored and respected all the animals of Earth. One of the most sighted and known animals associated with the ancient Celts and Druids were the snakes. The symbols and pictures of snakes were carved, painted, woven and tattooed into the art and history of the original peoples of the Irish Isles.

The ‘snakes’ that were ‘stomped’ out of Ireland by St. Patrick were actually a people, a culture, an entire way of life. Historically they are referred to as the ancient Celts. The Christian priest Patrick, and his pope, felt the ‘snake’ people had to go . . .

Many of humanities belief systems before Christianity used snake symbology to honor the sacred Earth and Creator. Many of the so-called “Pagans” would use snake symbols carved onto their bodies or clothes or belongings to worship all that Mother Earth brings to her children. When St. Patrick got rid of the ‘snakes’ in Ireland – the ‘snakes’ were all PEOPLE – the ‘pagans’ who worshiped God in a different way then St. Pat and so had to be driven ‘out of Ireland’.

Are you Native American?

For most of you that answer is probably no. You may have some Cherokee or Seneca or Cheyenne ancestors, but I would suggest most of you reading this are not Native Americans.

To me, most of us are not ‘Native’ to this continent and that makes us and all our families immigrants. We arrogantly choose to forget that part and many now seem to decide to make ‘immigration’ an evil thing in America . . . wow.

It is believed by the Snake Tribe of the Cherokee people that snakes have an intimate connection with the rain and thunder gods, and possess a certain influence over the other animal and plant tribes. It is said that the snakes, the deer, and the ginseng act as allies, so that an injury to one is avenged by all. The feeling toward snakes is one of mingled fear and reverence, and every precaution is taken to avoid killing or offending one, especially the rattlesnake. He who kills a snake. will soon see others; and should he kill a second one, so many will come around him that he will become dazed at the sight of their glistening eyes and darting tongues and will go wandering about like a crazy man, unable to find his way out of the woods.

The snake is one of humanities oldest mythological symbols. Snakes and serpents used as sacred symbols go back to some of the oldest cave paintings and carvings known to man. Drawings, carvings, painting and statues of Gods and Goddesses with serpents are found in every culture, language, theology and art form know to humankind.

Snakes did not become ‘evil’ until the Hebrew and then Christian theologies made them so. The snake in Eden brought ‘knowledge’ to Eve in the form of an apple. And then the woman that gained knowledge, shared it with her man Adam and all of humanity has been damned since then. That is what most of us have been taught.

The evil snake was actually the symbol that represented Spiritual Awakening through every one’s chakra system of Kundalini. The Egyptian pharaohs had snake heads coming out of the top of their masks for a reason. There was a profound reason that many Buddha statues have the head of a cobra spread above him, awaking him, shading him. Enlightenment was represented by the uncoiling of the Snake. The ‘coiled serpent’ at the base of YOUR spine – everyone’s spine – that brings Enlightenment and evolution to humankind. Around 3,000 years ago it was decided that snakes and serpents must not be celebrated or practiced by the common Hebrew and then Christian peoples. It was believed by rabbis and later priests that common folk won’t understand ‘enlightenment’ – so we will make the ‘snake’ evil knowledge and blame the woman.

We have been unfortunately celebrating that tragedy every since. . .

The Ouroboros, the eternal round, is a symbol of eternity and continual renewal of life. It is the drawing of the serpent/snake forming the never-ending circle of life by eating its tail and is found in ancient sites worldwide. It was a symbol you would see in most of the cultures around the world.

The serpent, when forming a ring with its tail in its mouth, is a symbol of the “All-in-All”, the totality of existence, infinity and the cyclic nature of the cosmos and is believed to have been inspired by the Milky Way, as some ancient texts refer to a serpent of light residing in the heavens.  In short, it means we are all in this together, and if you don’t get that part – the Cosmic Light will reach around and bite you from behind!

Snake charmers don’t usually get that part . . .

Because of its believed herbal knowledge the snake was often considered one of the wisest animals, being (close to the) divine. Its divine aspect combined with its habitat in the earth between the roots of plants made it an animal connected to the afterlife and immortality.

Asclepius, the god of medicine and healing, carried a staff with one serpent wrapped around it, which has become the symbol of modern medicine. The Rod of Asclepius has been adopted by medical organizations around the world, and is inextricably tied to the art of healing.

In Greek mythology, Asclepius is a God, and a son of Zeus. Others believe that the historical Asclepius was simply a local hero doctor who helped heal thousands in his time. In any case, a rash of about 200 Asclepieion temples appeared in ~300 BC. Sick pilgrims would travel great distances to be put in a room overnight with a bunch of snakes. The snakes were thought to induce dreams that would point the way to a cure. It was also understood that every person had a divine rod or pole inside of them that held your ‘Prana’. The sacred chakra energy centers – found in everyone – are placed along that Prana. The snake wrapping around the prana and working its way up the ‘pole’ meant that your Sacred Spirit Within – your Kundalini Energy – was evolving and opening you to Enlightenment.

The first representations of the physician-god bearing a rod with a snake twined around it showed up in ~200 BC. And that’s how snakes first became entwined with logo that now represents the American Medical Association.

You will also see the symbol of snakes on many ambulances – with the healers inside working very hard to save lives.

Snake charmers don’t get that part . . .

The serpents or snake’s venom is associated with the chemicals of plants that have the power to either heal, poison or provide expanded consciousness, even the Elixir of Life and immortality through divine intoxication.

Creator can use snakes and their symbology to help you achieve your own enlightenment. Perhaps you are a doctor, nurse, healer of some kind and God wishes to thank you for all the Sacred Healing you bring to our planet and snake symbols keep showing Up around you.

You could be forgetting where your ancestors and family come from and how we are all on one planet – together – and pictures, t-shirts or drawings of snakes are all around to remind you of your connections to the Divine who knows who you are and how you help in our world or spread poison.

People with snake as their totem are often finding that they are going through constant changes in their lives that they usually move through smoothly. They have a natural ability to balance energy and often Snake totem people are gifted healers.

You are very charming in social situations, and very good at holding people’s attention, there is something mysterious about about your gaze, your intensity, and your ability to sense what other’s are thinking or feeling. Tied in with this charm is a confidence and self assurance that many people find alluring. Snake people can slip in and out of conversation with ease and grace, and are often flexible and open minded.

Honor the Enlightenment, Healing, Grace and transformation that snake energy and knowledge can bring into your life. Allow the flow of knowledge to uncoil inside your Spirit and let snake medicine teach you just how much Light there is to know, embrace and acknowledge the beauty of the snakes.

And beware of the snake charmers . . .

Satellites and pair of mirrors and
And a man without a home
With a horse and a rider
And a clever, cunning killer
Silent in error, vocal in spotlights
Lying always, suckin’ on a bottle
Of that sweet, indulgent fluid
Oh greed, oh yes, oh greed, oh yes!

Oh greed, oh yes
Yeah!
Yeah!
Yeah!
Yeah!

Your friendship is a fog
That disappears when the wind redirects you!
Yes you!

Father’s expectations
Soul soaked in, spit and urine
And you gotta make it where?
To a sanctuary that’s a fragile American hell
An empty dream
A selfish, horrific vision
Passed on like the deadliest of viruses
Crushing you and your naive profession

Have no illusions boy
Vomit all ideals and serve
Sleep and wake and serve
And don’t just think just wake and serve

Yeah!
Yeah!
Yeah!
Yeah!

Hey, your friendship is a fog
That disappears when the wind redirects
You!
