Humans have a tendency to at times look at life skewed. We hesitate to look at things straight on and change them or turn them sideways or upside down. I think for some they want to bring drama into their life and all the world’s a stage….
There is a symbol that is anciently ancient. It is the never ending line that creates 2 circles touching. It represents to many the ‘seen’ and ‘unseen’ forces at work in this reality, this duality we find ourselves in….It is the Infinity symbol.
The number 8 is the Infinity symbol turned on its side….the symbol for infinity but from a different perspective.
How often have you thought of yourself as infinite?
You are you know….. a never-ending, eternal, Sacred Spirit Being having a human experience.
The Infinite….no beginning and no end. The Always…..sounds much like God.
The infinity symbol was originally known as the Lemniscate, meaning ‘ribbon’, by ancient Greek mathematicians and philosophers. The idea stems from The Ouroboros, an ancient symbol depicting a serpent biting its own tail. It represents the infinite immortality, continuity, self-fertilization and eternal return of life.
There is a meaning from India and Tibet, where the symbol represents perfection and equilibrium between the male and female gender. The infinity sign also appears in a number of mystical Celtic knot designs having no end or beginning.
The infinity symbol represents the immeasurable and the boundless. It has been highly prized for centuries, used for protection and the bringing of harmony and balance. The band across the forehead of Egyptian pharaohs bore the image of a snake in the shape of figure eight. It was also the number of Thoth, the Egyptian god of the Laws and of wisdom and magic. In Indian cultures, we see the infinity symbol in depictions of Kundalini energy and in the staffs carried by Hermes and Asclepius.
Spiritually, eight is the number of the initiate – someone who has transcended the seven stages of awakening and passed through the seven heavens. Eight is the number linked with the power of resurrection and regeneration, symbolizing happiness and paradise regained.
In Chinese tradition, it represents wealth and prosperity and is used in Feng Shui to arrange living spaces harmoniously.
The infinity sign is also within us, in our very cells and the basic structure of our genes. It is in the double helix of the strands of our DNA, a continuous chain of figures-of-eights

This is the title track off Styx’s 8th studio album. It tells of how life is not to be rushed through with little to no attention. The song “Pieces of Eight” details a day in the life of a man dissatisfied with the monotony of modern life and how it’s barring him from achieving happiness, as seemingly everything can be applied monetary value.

GET RID OF GUNS. If anyone is needing help getting rid of a gun, please let me know. I am happy to help get it or you or both to the nearest police station. They will take any guns and destroy them. I have a number of police officer friends that can also assist us.
